We’ve tried to make Zoodiker intuitive and easy to use. However, we understand you might have questions before and after you sign up. Here are some FAQs:

Subscriptions & Pricing

  • Can I try out Zoodiker for free?

    While Pandemic Pricing is in effect, Zoodiker is offered free or pay-what-you-can. It feels like the right thing to do, with social distancing and the world’s economic challenges. We will have to charge at some point, and will give notice beforehand. We hope never to let price be a barrier to membership, despite being a fraction of the cost of most other writing services and contest fees.

  • Do I get billed monthly or yearly?

    Your choice! Our platform allows a Monthly or Yearly charge. You get two months free with an Annual membership.

  • What payment methods are available?

    We use a secure payment platform that accepts all major credit cards, bank draws and other electronic methods. We do not store payment information ourselves, but use a third-party payment system, such as Stripe.

  • Can I cancel before the end of my plan?

    You can cancel at any time. Whatever plan you’re on, you will run out to the end of that plan, monthly or annually, and then your membership will end and no future charges made.

  • Are there discounts for groups/clubs/schools?

    After the Pandemic Pricing period, there will special pricing available for groups and organizations with more than 10 signups. Send us a message with the total number of members and we’ll send you the discounted pricing offer.

Signup & Sign-in

  • I didn’t receive my login info

    1. Check your email for the secure link again, including any Junk or Spam folders. You might add zoodiker.com to your accepted sender list, if you have one.
    2. If no email arrives, try signing up again.
    3. If that fails, contact us at admin@zoodiker.com.

Using Zoodiker

  • Do I have to download an app?

    No! Just log in at zoodiker.com using any web browser like Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc. So you can sign in from anywhere…on your computer, smartphone or tablet.

  • What format should I use to upload my script?

    Any text PDF (without images inside). That means scripts, novels, plays, academic papers, legal briefs – any writing. Just make sure you remove your personal information from the title page and headers. Pick your readers or open it up to all of us. Then learn from the responses.

  • Why should I read other scripts?

    We improve faster when we see how other writers succeed or fail in their scripts. Zoodiker offers a social contract: read and you will be read. Scripts written by members who read more get some advantage in the display of scripts.

  • How do I know my idea won’t be ripped off?

    The other members are just like you, wanting to express themselves and not looking to steal. But Zoodiker offers the best protection against plagiarism: every page turn is time-stamped. We know exactly who read what and when.

  • Who reads my script?

    People like you who want to be better writers, whatever the level of experience.

  • What if I haven’t finished writing a script yet?

    Then post your work-in-progress if you want! Maybe find readers whose comments really help you, and give each other deadlines to improve your productivity. Theres nothing better than knowing someone is waiting to read.

  • How many scripts can I upload?

    You may upload up to 10 script files at a time. They may be scenes or full drafts. You may only upload your own writing, or with the permission of a writing partner.

  • Is Zoodiker also a backup for my script?

    No. We store your script as single encrypted pages, and even you cannot download a digital version of the entire piece, much less anyone else. You can replace or delete your script, but you cannot download it.


  • (X) doesn’t work in the app

    We constantly test and monitor the app to ensure there are no compatibility issues with major web and mobile browsers. If you do run into a problem:

    1. Update your browser to the latest version, or
    2. Try using a different browser to see if the issue gets resolved, and
    3. Drop us a line citing the browser, the platform (Mac/PC/Mobile) and we’ll have you up and running again in no time.


  • I have a suggestion for a feature that’s not currently in the app

    We’d love to hear it! The website has a place for suggestions. We’re always working on ways to improve and add to features, and users help us prioritize potential features. If there are a lot of requests for a particular feature, we’ll likely move it nearer the top of our development plans. Send us a message here.
